This case brought high expectations following significant research for iPhone 5 cases; reality confirmed those expectations with high satisfaction. In such a slim case, Ballistic has provided an excellent platform of protection without sacrificing aesthetics. The outer shell is such that sliding on hard surfaces is minimized. As others have pointed out, the screen protector does need to be cleaned from the inside on occasion. When doing so, please note that there is a small black piece that surrounds the camera hole on the back of the case. That piece can get dislodged when the screen protector is off; make sure that piece is seated properly before reattaching the screen protector.
